Ukrainian Vintage Co Featured on CtrlShyft 🌍

The international media platform CtrlShyft has published an article about Ukrainian Vintage Co — highlighting our journey of building a global art marketplace from Ukraine and continuing to grow despite the full-scale war.

When Andrii Zhyvodorov realized how difficult it was for his father, a Ukrainian painter, to sell artworks abroad, he decided to help. What started as a small family project quickly evolved into Ukrainian Vintage Co, a marketplace that now connects over 12,000 paintings by Ukrainian artists with buyers and collectors across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.

Even during wartime, the Kyiv-based team keeps working, personally visiting artists, photographing their works, and helping them reach international collectors. In 2023, the company reached nearly $500,000 in sales and was featured in Forbes Ukraine’s NEXT 250 list — as one of the most promising growing businesses in the country.

“They can suspend your store at any time. We want 80–90% of our sales to come directly through our own site,”
— says founder Andrii Zhyvodorov, speaking about the company’s long-term goal of building independence from third-party marketplaces.

Today, Ukrainian Vintage Co is expanding its presence through new collaborations with interior designers, galleries, and resellers, offering bulk sales for decorators and introducing international artists to its platform.

“We made many mistakes and lost around $10,000 on advertising — but that was the best lesson,”
— Andrii adds, emphasizing the company’s self-funded and learning-driven growth model.

From Kyiv to the world, Ukrainian Vintage Co continues to bridge art, culture, and entrepreneurship, proving that creativity and resilience can thrive even in the most challenging times.
