About the artist: Born in the city of Yoshkar-Ola on March 4, 1960. He studied at the children's art school of Yoshkar-Ola. Graduate of the art school of Yoshkar-Ola. Specialty - designer. 1979-1980 was a soldier of military service in the Soviet Army. TGV. 1982-1987 years of study at the Higher School of Arts V. I. Mukhina (St. Petersburg Art and Industry Academy named after A. L. Stieglitz). In 1987 he graduated from the Faculty of Industrial Art, Department of Industrial Design, Department of Experimental Design, Professor Evgeny Nikolaevich Lazarev. During the training, he created and entered the group of artists "OWN". The first exhibition of the SVOI group was held within the walls of the Mukhinsky school in 1986. In 1988–1990, he participated in numerous exhibitions and performances of the SVOI group at various venues in the city. Since 1987, takes a pseudonym - Gipper Puper, with whom, from now on, signs his work. In 1989, he took part in the turning exhibition of the Leningrad underground “From unofficial art to perestroika”. In 1990, he was invited to Nantes to the festival "Les Allumees", where the first series of paintings "Pilots" was shown. The famous art ship Professor Khlyustin takes young artists, artists and musicians to France. On the boat he gets acquainted with many figures of contemporary art, including Oleg Maslov. In 1992, he met Timur Novikov. In 1992 forms a creative union with Oleg Maslov. In the same year, Oleg and Victor for the first time jointly create an exposition for one of the halls of the exhibition “Mayakovsky’s Club of Friends”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the poet. The exhibition was held in the halls of the Marble Palace. 1992–1993 Victor and Oleg write a series of large canvases called The Blue Lagoon. At this time, Timur Novikov appoints Victor and Oleg professors of the New Academy in the class of painting. The Blue Lagoon exhibition at Pushkinskaya-10 opens the halls of the New Academy as a new exhibition space (1993–1997) in St. Petersburg. 1993–2005 joint creative activity with Oleg Maslov. The paintings are signed with creative pseudonyms Oleg Oleaginus & Viktor Faberferrarius. Create a series of paintings. They are engaged in pictorial photography (they are engaged in and experiment with printing photos). Make video films. They create costumes and props for the characters "Oleg and Victor". Participate in performances of pop mechanics Sergei Kurekhin. Participates in all exhibitions and events of the New Academy. How actors and costume designers star in Andrei Wenclov’s video films. 1997–2000 in the Engineering Castle (there were halls of the NAII) they wrote a large epic painting by the Triumph of Homer. Since 2005, returns to personal activities. It works under several aliases at the same time. Creates a series of paintings under the pseudonym "Faberferrarius". The series was shown in 2009 at the festival "Sea Level" (CEH Manege). And also works again as Gipper Puper, creates new series of graphics and paintings.
