* TITLE: "My dear friend Graphics"
* ARTIST: Kovalenko Yuri Andreevich - very expensive painter
* SIZE: 25x20cm/'9.84x7.87 inches'
* MEDIUM: oil, cardboard
* HAND PAINTED: Original painting from our collection
* CONDITION: we tried to convey the maximum information with the help of photos about this product.
About the artist: Yuri Kovalenko was born on July 27, 1931 in Priluki (now Chernihiv region).
Once Valery Baranovsky, who loved the work of Kovalenko and himself, published in the “Komsomol Spark” an article about the artist - “Village Socrates”. Yura was offended. The article was clever and kind, the artist had no complaints to Socrates, he formulated his thoughts concisely and aphoristically (he was forever remembered: “God is conscience”), but he was upset by the definition of “village”. He was a part of the city, an integral sign of his, and his “rural idylls” in the paintings were ironic and romantic, just as the 20th century man's myths about immaculate childhood should be.
