About the artist: He was born on December 23 (10?) On the Ivanivtsi farm (now the Poltava region). Graduated: Kiev Art College (1934), Kiev Art Institute (1942). Teachers by specialty - P. Kotov, K. Trohimenko, S. Grigoriev, K. Eleva. He worked in the industry of easel painting. Member of the NSHU (1943). Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1972). Member of the CPSU. He was awarded with medals and Certificate of Honor of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR. Participated in exhibitions: republican since 1945, all-Union since 1942, foreign since 1958 (in Poland, Japan, Czechoslovakia, Canada, Sweden), personal - Kiev, 1954, 1958, 1967. Main works: “Forcing the Dnieper” (1945); series "Dneproges" (1946); "Land of Transcarpathian" (1946); "Dneprostroy is being restored" (1946-1947); "T. Shevchenko among the Kazakhs" (1948); “The Dnieper is forced” (1947); “Open-hearth workshop”, “On the Sea of Tsimlyansk” (1951); “Evening on the Tsimlyansk Sea” (1953); “Morning” (1955); “Volgo-Don is open” (1960); “Discovery of the Volga-Don” (1960); “Far from Ukraine” (1961); “In a land far beyond the Urals. T.G.Shevchenko "(1964); “In the remote steppe, beyond the Urals” (1964); “There are no letters from Ukraine” (1965); "Sincere conversation" (1967); "Birches" (1970); The Descendant (1975).
