Vladimir Pavlovich Seleznev: An Artistic Journey

Vladimir Pavlovich Seleznev's artistic journey began on February 2, 1912, in the village of Abramovo, now part of the Gorky Region. His educational path in the world of art led him through the Penza Art School, where he graduated in 1937. Subsequently, he furthered his artistic education at the prestigious Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture named after I. Yu. Repin, completing his studies in 1952. Throughout his educational journey, Seleznev was fortunate to be guided by renowned mentors and teachers, including I. Goryushkin-Sorokopudov, M. Petrov, K. Rudakov, L. Ovsyannikov, O. Pakhomov, and G. Vereisky.

Seleznev's artistic contributions extended to the realms of easel graphics and poster design. His notable works include the poster "We are going with us to new lands" (1954), "Lenin is still more alive from all the living" (1957), "V. I. Lenin in 1917" (1958), "T. G. Shevchenko" (1964), and more. These works reflect his keen artistic sensibility and ability to communicate powerful messages through his art.

Throughout his career, Seleznev actively participated in various exhibitions, including republican exhibitions since 1957, all-Union exhibitions since 1956, and even foreign exhibitions since 1963. His work garnered recognition, and he was honored with the Order of the Red Star and various medals for his significant contributions to the world of art.
