About the artist: Ukrainian and Soviet artist. Honored Artist of Ukraine. Born in Nikolaev in 1936. He graduated from Odessa KhU (1956). He studied at IZHSA (1959 - 1965). Teachers - V. Oreshnikov, B. Ugarov, V. Reichet. Participant of exhibitions since 1956. Active participant in the non-conformist movement in Odessa. Member of the CFS since 1970. Since 1992, a member of the Odessa creative group Choven. Oleg Vasilievich Voloshinov was born in the family of the artist. Behind an excellent education - Odessa Art College, and then the Leningrad Academy of Arts. Overcome "academicism" he helped Odessa nonconformist artists. No, they did not teach him anything, but the very fact of their existence, their inner freedom, Alexander Anufriev, Vladimir Strelnikov, Valeniy Basanets, Luda Yastreb prompted him to search for his place in the multi-color palette of Odessa. Children's impressions - the sea, the smell of shavings during the construction of yachts, hot sand and life-giving sun. This remained in him forever and his whole life was determined by his creative searches. White color, reinforced by the blue sea, illuminated by the grace of sunlight - this is one of the brightest, most impressive dominants of the picturesque being in the paintings of Oleg Voloshinov. The collection of works by Oleg Voloshinov at the Odessa Museum of Modern Art is so representative that it makes it possible to experience his searches for decades. It makes it possible to understand that in today's picturesque horizon of Odessa Voloshinov has long been among the stars of the first magnitude. Personal exhibitions were held in Odessa (1980, 2009). In 2013, she was awarded the title Honored Artist of Ukraine. Lives and works in Odessa. The works are stored in Odessa, Khmelnitsky, Ivano-Frankivsk KhM and other museums of Ukraine, as well as private collections.
