Ivan Leontievich Shapoval, born on September 10, 1939, in Dniprodzerzhynsk, is a distinguished artist and poet. He has been a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1988 and is renowned not only in Sumy and Ukraine but also internationally for his exceptional talent in painting. Charity Auction "Artists of Sumy Supporting Military Personnel
In support of the military servicemen of the Sumy Battalion of Territorial Defense, the Sumy Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, in collaboration with the Ukrainian Academy of Banking of the National Bank of Ukraine, will be hosting a charitable auction titled "Artists of Sumy Supporting Military Personnel" on September 3, 2014, at 15:00, within the premises of the academy's scientific library.
The auction will feature 74 artworks generously provided by local artists, including paintings, sculptures, and porcelain creations. The members of the Union represent various directions and styles of artistic creativity, and many of the works have previously participated in exhibitions and presentations. The starting prices for these art pieces are set to be quite democratic, making them accessible to a wide audience.
We cordially invite you to participate in this auction. Together, let us extend our support to the military personnel of Sumy and the entire armed forces. By reviving the spirit of true patronage in Sumy, we aim to make a positive impact on the lives of our fellow citizens serving in the military.
