Kumgan and Melon by Pereta Vyacheslav: A Celebration of Tradition and Nature’s Bounty

About the Painting

"Kumgan and Melon" by Ukrainian artist Pereta Vyacheslav presents a serene and colorful still life, where the richness of simple objects takes center stage. At the heart of the composition is a juicy, cut melon resting on a plate, surrounded by vibrant fruits like plums and peaches. Beside the fruit sits a kumgan, a traditional Eastern metal vessel with warm coppery tones, which reflects the soft light of the setting. The striped cloth draped on the table adds a playful contrast, enhancing the rustic charm of the scene.

Vyacheslav’s brushstrokes are dynamic yet controlled, bringing texture and depth to the painting. This work beautifully captures the essence of everyday life, highlighting the beauty of nature’s bounty through the arrangement of fruits and the symbolism of the kumgan, which evokes tradition and hospitality. The natural greenery in the background enhances the feeling of peace and connection to nature, making the viewer feel grounded in both culture and simplicity.

Artistic Details

The composition’s balance of vibrant colors and subtle textures showcases Vyacheslav’s skill in creating visually rich scenes. The kumgan, a symbol of tradition, contrasts with the fresh fruits, embodying both the timelessness and abundance of daily life. The artist’s controlled brushstrokes bring the scene to life, allowing viewers to appreciate the fine details of the fruit and vessel. As with Other works by Pereta Vyacheslav, this piece invites reflection on the beauty of simple moments, making it a perfect addition for those seeking Original Paintings for Sale that capture the richness of still life.

Themes and Emotions

"Kumgan and Melon" evokes themes of tradition, abundance, and the pleasure of everyday life. The kumgan symbolizes cultural heritage, while the bright, fresh fruits represent the richness of nature. This painting would be a wonderful addition to any Collection of Still lifes or Collection of Village Landscapes, offering a sense of warmth, tradition, and connection to the natural world.

About the Artist

I, Pereta Vyacheslav Nikolaevich, was born on March 30, 1977 in the city of Dubno, Rivne region.
From early childhood I spent many hours drawing, which prompted my parents to enroll me in an art school.
Over the years, my passion grew into an internal need, and I began to think about the career of an artist. The basics of art education were given to me by my father, then there were preparatory courses at the Academy and in 2002 I entered the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture at the Faculty of Painting.
I studied with great enthusiasm, took an active part in academic exhibitions and competitions, and was awarded. From the third year of study, I was enrolled in the workshop of Professor Gurin V.I. , my teachers were Golembievskaya T. and Zorko A. I defended my bachelor's degree with the painting “Spring”, which was subsequently acquired by the Museum of Modern Art.
I graduated from NAOMA in 2008 and actively engaged in creative activities. In 2011-2012. performed four historical paintings for the Ministry of Culture of Macedonia. Held a number of personal and collective exhibitions, including in Cherkasy and Simferopol art museums. In 2012 he was admitted to the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
My inner world has always warmly responded to the work of impressionist artists, and among domestic masters I am fascinated by the works of K. Korovin, F. Zakharov, N. Glushchenko. A sharp and interesting compositional solution, subtle color relationships, which are decisive in creating the “mood” of a picture, are those tasks that excite me the most. My works are in private collections in Ukraine and abroad. I live in the city of Dubno, Rivne region.
