About the artist: Ukrainian painter.

Konstantin Fedotovich Filippov was born on January 2, 1912 in the village of Bolshaya Krepkaya (now Rostov Region). His father was a worker. K. Filippov began his career in 1928 as a miner at the mine number 8 "Chulkovka" in the city of Stalin (now - Donetsk). From 1929 to 1932 he studied at the Kiev Art College, where he received the specialty “Club Artist”. Teacher - K. Trohimenko.
In 1932, Konstantin Filippov returned to the Stalin Region, where he began to work as an artist in the mine club number 9 "Capital" station Yasinovataya.
Member of All-Union and Republican exhibitions since 1931. From 1931 to 1932, K. F. Filippov was a member of the Association of Artists of the Red Ukraine (AHKU) and the All-Ukrainian Association of Proletarian Artists (VUAPMIT), until 1946 - a member of the All-Russian Professional Union of Artists (RABIS). He also was a member of the Kiev Association of Artists.
In the 1950s, he lived with his daughter Natalya Filippova in Kiev. He worked at the Kiev Association of Artists. From 1954 to 1957, K. F. Filippov went on creative business trips to virgin lands and the Donbass.
Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine (1960).
Master of the landscape. He worked in the field of watercolor.
