About the artist: He was born on October 8, 1927, in the village of Andreevka, in the Alexander District (now Kirovograd Region). He studied at the Odessa Art College (1955-1957). He graduated from the art - graphic faculty of the Pedagogical Institute (1974). Teachers in the specialty: D. Frumina, A. Likholit. Painter, graphic artist. He created mainly landscapes and sea landscapes in a realistic style. At creative work. He worked as the head of the children's art studio of the house - the N. Roerich Museum in Odessa (2007-2009). Participated in exhibitions: urban, regional, international (since 1975). Personal exhibitions - in Odessa (1996, 1999, 2000, 2006, posthumous - 2009). Main works: painting - “The battlefield of the 411th coastal battery in 1941”, “Nerubai catacombs” (1970s), “Remains of the old mosque” (1992), “Winter morning”, “Fog” (1993), “On the Langeronovsky Descent” (1994), “Odessa in the Haze”, “At the Dawn of the Day” (1995), “Storm” (1998), “Autumn Gilding”, “Expanse” (2000), “Sea Wide” (2003) , “St. Cyril and Methodius” (2004), “Coastal Wave” (2005), “Kerch”, “Odessa Lighthouse” (2007); a series of pen drawings (2006-2009); pastels - “Clouds of the Rising Sun”, “The Shore of the Big Fountain”, “Autumn Time”, “Alone with the Sea” (2007). Author of poetry collections: “Far, but Close” (O., 2009). Separate paintings are stored in the house - N. Roerich Museum in Odessa. He lived and worked in the city of Odessa, died on June 12, 2009.
