About the artist: Born on February 2, 1872, in the village of Novoivanovka (now Pavlogra district, Dnipropetrovsk region, according to other sources - Kharkov). Graduated from Poltava Cadet Corps (1890); studied at the Kazan cadet military school (1893-1894); at the St. Petersburg School of Painting and Drawing by A. Makovsky (1903), at the Academy of Arts (1906-1907). Teachers by profession: P. Nilus and K. Kostandi, N. Samokish. Painter. He designed postcards with views of Ukrainian cities. Author of landscapes of the Crimea, the Volga, the Sea of Azov, the Urals, the Caucasus, the environs of St. Petersburg and Moscow, battle paintings, monumental and decorative paintings, illustrations, posters. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (since 1938). Participated in exhibitions: republican (1894). Personal exhibitions - in Moscow (1908, 1912), Minsk (1918). Major works: series - "Landscapes of Crimea" (1925-1960), "Lenin's places. Ulyanovsk "," Fishermen of Azov "(1935); decorative panels - "Climbing Stalin's Peak", "Spring in Bloom" (1937), "Blooming Moldova" (1938), "Livestock" (1939); watercolors - "Autumn in the Crimea" (1925), "Moonlit Night in the Sanatorium" Pearl "" (1952), "Crimea. Gaspra "(1953)," View of Gurzuf "(1954). Developed a label for the Crimean wine "Black Doctor". Some works are kept in the Sevastopol Art Museum, Simferopol Art Museum, Kharkiv Art Museum, Poltava Art Museum. Lived and worked in the city of Kharkov, died on November 1, 1962, in the city of Simferopol. He died on March 1, 1962.
