About the artists: Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR, monumentalist, a brilliant representative of the Lviv school of painting. Born on October 6, 1928 in the village. Zavaliyki, Volochissky district, Khmelnitsky region. In 1956 he graduated with honors from the Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (now the Lviv Academy of Arts), faculty of monumental painting. Outstanding Ukrainian artists I. Bokshay and R. Selskiy were his teachers in the specialty. Thesis - painting in the foyer of the Lviv State University. I. Franko. Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1962. Professor, Honored Artist of Ukraine since 1973. For seven years he headed the Department of Academic Painting at the Lviv Academy of Arts. For eight years he was the main artist of Lviv. For twelve years he was in charge of the Department of Architecture at the Lviv National Agrarian University. His works are mentioned in the six-volume edition "History of Art of Ukraine". S. Servetnik is one of the 100 best Polish artists who lived and worked outside Poland; their joint exhibition took place in Warsaw in 1991. He worked in the genre of monumental, easel painting and graphics. Stanislav Servetnik's works are in the exhibition fund of Ukraine, purchased by museums in Ukraine. In the Historical Museum of Lviv there is a painting “The Victory of Daniel Galitsky over the Crusaders in 1237 r. In Dorogichyn ”Also his paintings are in the expositions of the Vyhovsky Museum, Olesky and Zolochevsky castles, as well as in private collections in Ukraine and abroad. He completed murals in seven cathedrals, created iconostases in the cities of Komarno, Lanchin and others. Participated in personal and group exhibitions in Lvov, Kiev, Toronto, Madrid, Paris, Prague, Warsaw and others. He also worked as a muralist in the field of stained glass and mosaics. One of his works is the stained-glass window "The History of Mail" in the premises of the Lviv Main Post Office. He created about eight hundred works in the technique of oil painting, tempera, watercolors, pastels and drawing. The main subjects of the paintings are landscapes, portraits. Having finished a series of watercolors "Sacred wooden architecture", "Carpathian landscape" and others. He died on February 21, 2017. He was buried at the Lychakiv cemetery. The artist's works are extremely rare on the Ukrainian art market and are highly valued by collectors.
