About the artist: Born on January 15 (28), 1905 in the city of Poltava. Studied at the Poltava Art Studio (1922-1926), at the Kharkov Art College (1928-1932). Teachers by profession - M. Andryushin, S. Fedotov, G. Ciss, M. Burachek. Painter, graphic artist, art critic. He worked in the field of easel painting, graphics, art criticism. Creativity was based on the traditions of Russian itinerant movement and socialist realism. He painted scenery for the local theater, wrote about theater, music and art of life in Poltava, did reviews of exhibitions. Member of the Great Patriotic War. He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd degree, medals. Member of the Association of Artists of Red Ukraine (1927-1931). Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine (1945). He worked in the editorial office of the newspaper "Worker of Poltava", "Bolshevik of Poltava" (1927-1936). Worked at the Poltava Art Museum (1964-1973). Participated in republican exhibitions (1926). Personal - in Poltava (1946-1947, 1956, 1958, 1963, 1965, 1967, 1973), in Kharkov (1964), Kiev (1973). Major works: "The Roads of the Great Patriotic War" (1942-1945), portraits of artists of the Poltava Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater. Gogol (1947-1950), drawings and cartoons for the local press; compositions dedicated to the life and work of I. Kotlyarevsky, Panas Mirny; painting - "Interior of the Poltava Art Museum" (1925), "Colors of Autumn" (1934), "Osiki in Sanzhary" (1937), "Houses over the Sanzhary River" (1938), "Evening over the River" (1945), "On Vorskla ”,“ Autumn over Vorskla ”(1951),“ Green Shores of Vorskla ”(1955),“ Above Pslom ”(1958),“ Poplar over the road ”(1963),“ Poltava.
