"The Limit of Elah" is a captivating watercolor portrait that transports viewers into a world of ancient wisdom and exploration. The central focus of the painting is an elder prophet, exuding an aura of authority and determination. Dressed in a flowing white cassock, he stands tall and resolute, his visage weathered by time and experience. With one hand raised triumphantly towards the heavens, as if beseeching divine guidance, and the other resting confidently on his belt, he embodies both spiritual leadership and unwavering strength. Surrounding the prophet are soldiers, ready to embark on an epic journey into uncharted territories. Clad in their armor and battle attire, they stand steadfast and resolute, echoing the prophet's sense of purpose. Their presence symbolizes the convergence of spirituality and martial prowess, as they heed the prophet's guidance on this momentous expedition. The setting is a dense woodland, shrouded in shades of green and dappled sunlight. Towering trees form a natural canopy overhead, creating a sense of both mystery and protection. The soldiers and the prophet traverse the forest, their determined expressions and purposeful strides hinting at the challenges that lie ahead. The interplay of light and shadows adds depth and dimension to the scene, further enhancing the atmospheric allure of the painting. In the background, a river meanders gracefully through the landscape, its serene waters flowing steadily towards the horizon. The river represents a boundary, the threshold beyond which the prophet and his soldiers venture into unexplored realms. It symbolizes the unknown, inviting contemplation of the risks and rewards of their journey. "The Limit of Elah" captures a pivotal moment in time, where faith and courage converge in pursuit of new horizons. The watercolor technique enhances the ethereal quality of the scene, with soft, delicate brushstrokes giving the painting a dreamlike quality. The colors chosen by the artist, a harmonious blend of earthy tones and subdued hues, evoke a sense of both tranquility and anticipation. As viewers gaze upon "The Limit of Elah," they are invited to reflect on their own boundaries, their aspirations, and the remarkable individuals who dare to lead others beyond the confines of the familiar. It is a work of art that encapsulates the timeless themes of exploration, faith, and the indomitable spirit of human endeavor.

About the artists: Alexander Arkadievich Litvinov was born on May 18, 1967 in the city of Lubny. He graduated from the Lubensk secondary school № 1. One of his favorite lessons was drawing. I was even more attracted by studies at an art school, where boys and girls were introduced to high art thanks to the wise teachers Vasily Semenyuta, Anatoly Kharchuk, Nikolai Korablev, Tamara Moshnikoviy. Especially in his artistic development, Alexander owes to Vasily Ivanovich Semenyuta, his classical school of teaching, which he enriched in his time through his acquaintance with famous artists Alexei Asaulenko and Petr Likhin. And also an extremely important role in the passion for painting was played by the fact that Alexander's father, Arkady Petrovich Litvinov, was both a talented artist and an excellent teacher. He had 53 years of teaching experience - he taught drawing and drawing at the Lubensk school №8, many of his students connected their professions with artistic creativity. Alexander's elder brother, Oleg Arkadyevich Litvinov, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, now lives in Odessa, also chose the artistic path.

And after leaving school, Alexander served in the army, where his artistic talent came in handy - in Soviet times, visual agitation was highly valued. He served in Dnepropetrovsk, where two personal exhibitions of his paintings were organized. While still at school, Alexander began to design books, in particular, children's literature. He received his first creative fee in the tenth grade from the publishing house "Raduga" for the design of the book by Anatoly Rybakov "Krosh's Vacation". Later she studied at the Odessa Theater and Art School, specializing in "Decoration of puppet shows and artistic and props art."

Studying at the school and passion from childhood with historical and biblical literature greatly influenced the creative manner of the artist. He works in the style of the so-called figurative art, where the main thing is the image of the human body.
